Which remote battery do i need?
Bought a 97 1.8tqm and there is no battery in the remote key fob. Anyone know off hand what size i need? The old battery is missing but looks to be about the size of a nickel. Only info i see is key fob model VDO-E519. Actually there is a little picture that almost makes it look like it takes 2 batteries?

That's the older switchblade style. If he's referring to the original remote
that came with his car, then its CR2025 x2. Same goes with the update switchblade remote for, though it might only be one CR2025. The older switchblade style uses CR2023 x1 or 2 like you mentioned.
