ok ok! I understand. I've not started yet, I'm situated abroad now and got no tools, so...
I'll get what I need tomorrow and see if I can make it.
Thanks for keeping me in the right direction!!

I don't really know what a ICV is :) so there u got my technical level.. My last car was an 1984
80 5E.. and I fixed that one's starting problems by running a hot-switch to the cold-starter add-injection. Thought I should do it more by the book now though.

I think we need to take a step back...
I told you specifically, cleaning the ICV will help with idling issues, in which case, Kris' article will be handy. I also told you, if you need to remove the throttle body, that's another matter, involving taking other stuff out of the way. Nowhere in this did we discuss WHAT the problem is, and WHY you are taking the approach you're taking. That's a different question, and one I don't really want to tackle.
I never really answered the question you asked, just gave you more background information. It's up to you to diagnose and decide the best course of action.

No, ICV is attached to the TB.
It's used to control airflow around the throttle body plate when the TB plate is closed (in other words, idle control valve (ICV). If you're having idling issues, this is something to look at. If there is another issue with the TB (stuck throttle plate), forget the ICV, it's not part of your problem.

Yes I know, I already made a thread before where I focused on diagnosing my problem, and it was ..
suggested for me to clean the throttle body. (link)
My problem WAS loping ideling and stalling, but it changed, and is now only some nipping in on high rpm level.
Unplugging the MAF removes the problem however.
But ok, as I then understand I have to still remove more parts then, to clean out the T/B.
(And np, I don't take your posts as diagnose unless you make it clear)

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2357459.phtml</a
