Default Removing Center Console-Rear Section

I'm attempting to install a pop-up can/cup holder in the area behind the shifter and next to the parking brake. I've run into two snags while trying to remove the console:

The FAQ says to remove the two 14mm nuts behind the rear ashtray. No prob. It also says to remove a 14mm nut underneath the rear cup holder (the one beneath the armrest). How do I get this cup holder out without breaking something?

I also need to remove the plastic trim that covers the parking brake handle. I've seen a couple of threads here that vaguely describe removing a tab, but I can't find anything like that. I would love to have a complete, precise set of instructions for removing the parking brake handle trim.

Thanks!

There is a plastic square "pin" that slides into the handbrake handle. (at the rear of the handle underneath. Pry the pin out gently (there's a small tether that keeps the pin attached to the handle assembly).

The only bolt I recall is the one in the rear ashtray. Along with the screws that are in the sides.

Thanks, Mick. I'll give that a shot.

The FAQ is correct. There are two nuts behind the ashtray and there is one below the under-armrest cup-holder. I got brave, and removed the cup holder by yanking it up firmly.

I fiddled with the parking brake handle for quite some time before discovering that the plastic locating pin was missing on my car... the handle slid right off with a good strong pull.
