I'm attempting to install a turbo timer in place of the cupholder. I've removed all the trim and the part of the cupholder that actually slides out. There's a plastic piece left that the cupholder was housed in that doesn't want to come out (it has a thin, clear plastic strip on the bottom of it used to relay the light for the cupholder).

How does this piece come out? I took the radio out to feel behind this housing and it doesn't seem to be screwed into anything, but I've tried to pull it out with pliers and it won't budge.
