Default Removing the remnants of the factory wrappers (MORE)

After the dealer removed the plastic white wrappers, there is some goo left behind. It's just a few lines of gooey dark stuff where the edge of the wrapper used to be. You can easily scrape it off with your finger, but I was just wondering if there is some sort of detergent or car-washing product that will clean it off easily.

Cleaner/wax? I have Windex, WD40 and rubbing alcohol, will any of these do?

Default I wouldn't use any of those...

...but if I had to use one of them, WD-40 will work but clean the surface afterward and slap some wax on it because you just removed whatever wax was there.
