I've searched the forums, but have not found any recent postings, or any postings with clear explanations...

I took my car to an independent shop for 50,000k service + replacing some engine vaccuum hoses. After I got it back, a few days later, EPC light came on. I took it back, they looked at it, but didn't find anything wrong. The only codes they got were ones pertaining to a malfunction of the EPC light itself. They reset the light and returned my car. After I got it back, samething happened again, but only after driving a few miles. So finally the shop has my car again and they're trying to do more tests, but they don't know what's setting off the EPC light. Everything looks fine.

More details on the EPC light coming on - the most recent instance, I got the car back from the shop, drove around, parked. When I turned on the car, the EPC light was on and I noticed that I drove only 5 miles. So the light is not coming on while I'm driving - only after some amount of driving and when I turn the car back on.

Any ideas?
