Default Replaced left/front ABS sensor, fault 00283 (G47), and ....

it won't go away. I searched and it all points to a grounded or open circuit between the sensor and the ABS module. The sensor's plug to the harness looked just fine. Tomorrow I'll check the plug to the module. Hope I find something.
Does anybody know of a common ABS wiring problem with our cars? TIA.

Default I've got a permanent problem with my ABS. FWD or quattro?

You still getting fault codes then? There's always blasting the ABS rings with air to clean out any crap in there? Just a thought. Or maybe the sesnors to far in / not far in enough (fnar fnar!)

Default FWD, IMO it's electrical more than cleaning or positional. I was hoping that ...

somebody did find a defect; saving me a lot of troubleshooting. The code keeps coming up after clearing.

You've checked every sensor then?

Fault 00283 involves front/left problem specifically.

Default Hmmm. Have you eyeballed the ABS ring, inside the hub....?

You can see it rotate through the whole for the sensor. Possibilty of there being damage?

Like yourself I'm just getting into the ABS system, but from what I've heard it's extremely unlikely that there would be a loom fault. No harm to check though.

Another option may be to swap the two front sensors around?

Did you ever find a solution for this? I have the same problem and after replacing the harness/sensor it still hasn't gone away... Ugh.
