Default replacement shocks

I need to replace the shocks on my 1998 smq.
My A4 has 91k miles and I was thinking of replacing the factory shocks with bilstein sports.

I would like to hear other who have replaced their original shocks with aftermarket brands.

thanks for any incite,

Mark Radovan

Default I like mine with H&R springs. This is how it sits and it drives smooth.

Default I replaced my origional factory shocks..

and springs at the same time with about 90k miles on my a4. I used H&R sport springs and Koni Adjustble shocks. I love it. its about a good 2 fingers lower than stock but no so low it rubs. From everything i recall when making my selection the main thing was to replace both springs and shocks at the same time for the most benifit and also i thnk you will wearout your old spring or shocks faster with a new tight set.. some one correct me or explain this better iirc..

Default Love your car

I have a 2001 A4 1.8t sport package in the Casablanca as well. I love the body kit.

Is their any way you could take a straight up from the front picture of your car with the RS4 grill on it? Ive been flirting with the idea of getting one but not sure of how I will like it.

I like my Bilsteins, but may not be compatible with stock springs.

Default if you're going to keep the stock springs you need Bilstein HD shocks.....

the sports front shocks are for use with lowering springs. the valving is the same the sports fronts are just shorter. rears are the same.
