I am looking for information on the fresh air temperature sensor that I need to replace. Unfortunately another Audi dealership has tried to scam me by saying that this sensor costed $225 just for the part when the parts dept told me it was $40. So i decided to find out more information about it to fix it mysself.
The reason is my air conditoner constantly shutting my compressor on and off causing hot air to blow out sometimes and then kicing back on maybe.
If anyone has information about finding and replacing this sensor since It showed up in the codes, i would appreciate it. I was told it is located under the glove box??

nahhh they told me it was the interior "fresh air temperature sensor" part # 4D0820539..
I'm gonna go ahead and say the code is one of these..
56 Temperature in deg C, from Interior Temperature Sensor, in Headliner (G 86)
57 Temperature in deg C, from Interior Temperature Sensor, in Instrument Panel (G 56)
(think its this one) 58 Temperature in deg C, from Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G 89)

from experience when AC charges get low at first the system switches on and off the compressor, (like you discribe) because the low pressure switch is cutting in.
I would ckeck the charge in the system first.

yea its definately not a charge issue, i already had the right charge put in, unless the sticker on my car that tells the charge value is wrong, which the dealership told me had happened to them once
