Default Replacing rear bearing. Can it pressed in with a few large C clamps?

I'm sure that getting the upright off won't be that hard. Wouldn't it be simple to press the new bearing in with a vise or a couple of large C clamps?

Default No way, you need a hydraulic press. (or a Hubshark)

If it was a bushing or something, I'd say yeah, maybe you could get away with it. But a bearing? Nah.

Setting the new bearing squarely and without distorting it in the process is key to it lasting long.

Well, thank you all for your emphatic responses. (Especially Roving) After reading the write up and realizing that I don't have much of the tools needed, I guess that I'll have it done. I'll call around.

Default Make sure you mark the orientation of the lower bolt, which is for camber adjustment.

Trace it with a sharpee, or white grease pencil..
