repost: does this sound like the K03 is going/gone?
Sorry to repost this, but the linky to the sound clip I previously posted broke.
I've been noticing a periodic wonk wonk wonk sound coming from the left side of the engine for awhile. All stealers that I went to so far have said this is normal... But I beg to differ.
Can you listen to the attached clip to tell me if my turbo is going?
Warning: sound clip is loud (sorry didn't have time to adjust the input volume)... What you'll hear mostly is the engine at idle, but in the background you'll here a periodic wonk wonk wonk sound....
Thanks.<ul><li><a href="http://64.203.48.194/badturbo.wav">http://64.203.48.194/badturbo.wav</a</li></ul>

doesn't change when i rev it.however....
sometimes after I've run the car for awhile, the sound isn't periodic anymore, but rather it is continuous (one long woooooooooooooooooonk).....
A dealer said it was just the actuation of the combination valve for the secondary inlet. However, I've managed to check with my neighbors passat and a4, no such sound EVAR......
