(Repost for evening crowd) Car shakes vigorously during braking. Are brake pads a good possibility?

Default Does it do it all the time, Like immediately or does it take a couple of minutes to start
More than likely you have a stuck caliper which is overheating your rotors and pads. Rotors are $50 each at thepartsbin.com, pads run about the same for the set. I think that calipers are about the same there as well. It's not a rough job to do yourself if you are so inclined. The disc will be super hot on the wheel with the bad caliper. If it shakes right off the bat then it may just be the rotor but that is unlikely-- something had to cause it to warp.
