From researching and searching the forums, a CF hood doesn't even save 50lbs, is this correct?

I have been considering doing a few weight modifications such as a lightweight battery and/or relocating a battery to the boot, and a CF hood painted to match. However after spending some time searching, it seems like a CF hood is less than 50lbs lighter than stock (I think I read that it was only around 30lbs lighter at most). Does anyone know the weight savings number for sure? I don't think it would be worth the cost if that is the case, unless the hood needed replacement anyways.

Thanks Joey. So definitely not worth it's weight in gold huh? (pun intended)

Looks like (from more reading) that the weight savings is more in the ballpark of 30lbs. Yeah....not worth it unless the hood needed replacement anyways.
