Reset my Wett chip last night- vive la difference!
Simple to do: just disconnect the ECU and then plug it back in. Turn the ignition on for 3 minutes (don't actually start the car though) and then turn it off. All my bad driving habits were erased and the chip runs much faster. I recommend this to all chip users.
Thanks Andy Hedin for the how-to on this.

Which chip model, car age, type, etc?
I know you have the Wett but what is this about a memory feature? Which chip do you have? When did you buy it? What model A4 do you have (I'm guessing a 1998.5 1.8TQ)? I like the idea of erasing all my 'going nowhere in Seattle traffic' driving profiles and getting some boost....

So if I am reading this right these are the steps:-
1. Disconnect the ECU.
2. Reconnect the ECU.
3. Turn on ignition - don't start engine (i.e. battery power only).
4. Wait three minutes.
5. Turn off ignition.
6. Away you go....
Is that correct?
How does any of the electronics know Steps 1 and 2 have happened? I could understand it if you said disconnect ECU, wait 3 minutes, reconnect. Or disconnect, engage ignition, wait 3 mins, disengage ignition, reconnect EDU, fun fun fun....
