lately over the past few weeks i have been using the air conditioner alot around here, and as always after arriving home i notice the usual dripping of water from the cooler after use, dripping from under the engine, toward the front of the car on the passenger side... i assume this is the air conditioner dripping off?
lately however, i have notived that these "drips" are leaving stains on the drive way... what is the residue that is left over... i always thought it was just water dripping off from the ice on the condenser... am i wrong?
and i know it is not oil either... anyone know?

Wonder if it's pulling up dirt from the surrounding driveway and pulling it toward the final collection point/low spot in the driveway. because this should just be 'clean' water; it's moisture in the air that condenses out as the air passes over the evaporator cooling coils in the car dash.
Either that, or you're collecting dirt udner the car and this concenser drain is washing it away after you park.
One idea: put a large flat baking tray under the car at the location of this drain tube, see what the water looks like.
