Revised V6 Tensioner?

Just about to change out the timing belt on my '98.5 A4. I purchased the ultimate kit from ECS, but just realized I may need to change the tensioner as well, (which I didn't get, only the roller). I searched the archives, but most of the info was for the 1.8T's. I'm at 101,000kms, do the V6's have a troublesome tensioner, and is there an upgraded one?
I'll hold off for the week if I do need to replace the timing belt tensioner, if I do, I'll also get the OEM WP gasket. I printed off the two Tech articles relating to timing belt swaps on the 30V V6, any other suggestions/tips?
Thanks!

14 people viewed this yet nobody has any input???
Anyway, I have the front of the car off right now, going ahead without changing the tensioner, only the pulley...
