Default right front brake pads worn completey, left side half only

frond brake pads. the front right side pads are completely worn, and the front left only half worn. That happened within half a year.

is the piston of the caliper blocked? I remember (in some other cars) there was a rubber bush/seal between the piston and the caliper. can that bush be changed in Audi s?

Can it be something else?

May be an indication you have air in the left caliper line.

Default hmmmm. good one. BTW Autozone/Advance Autoparts rotors - too cheap to consider?

Question about the rotors.
I know- bit greedy..... but; does it worth to consider the 50$ rotors autozone or advance autoparts are selling?

dealer is bit expensive for just rotors after all.

What can happen with Duralast rotors? wear too fast? not balanced?

Default We've got several rotor options available

And not made in Asia like most of those that those places you mention are made in.

Front rotors take a beating, and I wouldn't skimp there. Rear rotors don't work quite as hard, so you could probably get away with a lower quality piece in back.

Default If he goes with cheap the Wearevers at Advance , I've found are somewhat better than most

I agree on the front rotors. I had cheaper Raybestos on the front of my car with an agressive but slow wearing pad and the rotors are at about the wear limit with daily driving at 30k. The pads however have 3/4 of the material still. That was before I put the EBC Greens on with the Zimmermans .

Oh BTW Mike on another subject.I just did my TB and put on some stuff from PureMS,including one of the older PureMS snubs . A tip for installing the snub on 2.8 engine. I laid on my back and pushed the snub on with my foot,it popped right on and is perfectly aligned ,with no noise. Just lubed it lightly with dielectric grease and never touched the bolts. Had the whole front off of course.

Default chances are you would notice pulling in the front end upon braking if that was the case...

I think it is probably a stuck caliper piston and/or sliders.
