Default not to my knowledge, we replaced an oil pan on a 2.8 a4 last year. just had to get under to remove

the pan.

Default Actually, the 1.8T oilpan isn't easy to replace..

(if that's what you're alluding to). I've not done it myself, but I've seen many a post describing as a PITA. Apparently you can't access all the bolts around the pan easily, something has to be moved/dropped.....subframe IIRC...? I could be wrong, but I'm just going on what other people have said....

Default The 2.8 pan is 2 pieces, the 1.8t is not, they will either have to lift the engine,

or drop the subframe.

Default if it's only the oil pan than it's fine..but i think there is other suspension damage as wheel.

i think the manhole cover scraped my entire undercarriage. i lost my entire belly pan and both wheel wells.

Default the ditch was 2" drop (i have pics) and the manhole was a little higher than 2"

there was about a foot between the drop and the manhole. so basically, my car dropped, dipped down..then hit the manhole cover scrapping everything.
