I have a yakima roof rack that I used to have on top my A4 to carry my mountain bike(s). I took it off a while back and now I have these dang marks where the rack used to set. How can I get these marks off? I've tried washing with car wash and dishwashing detergent to remove the wax, but they're still there. Any suggestions?

some generic scratch removal stuff from Kragen's. It's an abrasive of sorts. I've used it a couple of times on my car with good results.

before I try an abbrasive. Seems like it's a little sticky from those rubber rack shoes. Couldn't hurt the paint since I had to use it to remove badges.

If it doesn't work, I'll try a VERY mild abbrasive and from then on, I'm getting some of that clear 3M film to place between the rack shoes and the roof.

Kudos to you if you figure out a way and share with everyone on the board.
