S2000: 0, Taurus SHO: 1 & 0, A4: 2, but really 1 for the books
Ok, I don't know why it just hit me hours into my work day. I guess I'm getting old and forgetful.
On my commute home, I stopped at AWE last night and then proceeded to take the long way home. I come upon, in the right lane of two lanes going straight, an old POS white Taurus SHO with big dual exhaust or maybe it was just some fart cans making their usual annoyance. I see over the headrests two tiny buzz cut kids who couldn't have been over 16 making a big fuss about a mid-20s to early 30s cutey in a yellow S2000 with the top down in the left lane who wouldn't look at them and kept inching up to get away from them, or so I thought. As the SHO inches forward, the left turning only light arrow goes green and the cutey takes a big leap forward then hits the brakes. You see, our lights were still red. Well, now...she was about to race these kids :-) I'm thinking this could be interesting. I start looking around for cops in the adjacent shops in their usual places to find none. Normally, I don't street race, but WTF, it's go time. I don't move up on the SHO to make him suspicious that I'm about to play the spoiler in his day dreams. The light turns green and *chirp* the SHO is off and S2000 starts to take him in the middle of 2nd, and as I'm about to change lanes to follow the S2000 to blow by these kids, she misses 3rd gear *grind* and the driver waves at her through the sunroof as I'm still flooring it in 3rd and push in front of her with ease and blow by the kids, pop it into to 4th and wave through the sunroof back at the kids. I continue up to about 100 and feel I'm well beyond being stupid on this road, hit the flashers, and slow down to a respectable speed for the upcoming light. I made a quick left and come around the light and came up beside the kids, which the girl was directly behind them laughing her butt off, to wave again. They wouldn't even look my way. I continue on and she says "Thanks" with a smile, as I pull in to get gas on the corner station.
Audi content: I need more power. I "lost" to a 2 gen. ago (around '91) Supra out on LI, NY this weekend. I wouldn't race him, but I was pulling up behind him knowing that he was probably faster than me and seeing if I could keep up. nope. nada. not happening without a bigger turbo.

I did virtually the same thing with a riced Accord and a Firebird.
2 lanes in each direction and I come up to a light behind an Accord and Firebird inching there way fowards and revving a bit. I snuck up behind the Firebird and went right after them as the light went green. Right as the firebird had pulled 2 cars ahead of the Accord I cut into the Accords lane and blew by them both.
They must have been stumped as to where the hell I came from, and how I did what I did.
No hotties in either car though.

SHO engine would be mmm, mmm, good in an A4.
I actually autocorss with the NE SHO club, in MASS. Have been doing so for 5 years, and they are bulky, but that engine is sweet. My father finally parted with his, and got a mazda 6 for his winter, and had a 98 M3 as well. It's actually the car that got me into modding in the first place. We estimate that said and done, his was putting out a solid 250hp.
Having that engine in the Avant would be soooooo..sweet, but I guess that that is all I would take from it.
if you are looking to autocross in the NE, and get alot of seat time. Like 8 laps, around 1min 30 sec each. Check out www.neshoc.com.
