Ok, I just contacted a guy I know back home (about 900 miles north) who says he has a complete 2001 S4 that got wrecked but still runs and drives--body just got too banged up to make it worthwhile to restore. Says he will sell me the entire car for $4000 cash. Even though I have already begun the single-turbo conversion work, nonetheless this is still VERY tempting. I know that if you have a 'donor car', that this is almost a 'bolt-in job', albeit a sh*tload of 'bolting. Even so, may just be worth it.
I know that mechanically-speaking I could have everything swapped over in about 2 weeks or so, then just gotta' find somebody to do the electricals. Teetering on the fence here....

she is n gorgeous shape, and practically stolen from the previosu owner. Just over 90K on her, which for a 98 is pretty low mileage

What I did was dropped the dash and just changed the interior harness and everything essentially just clicked in, no splicing of any sort. I had my wire for the pedal position sensor ready to go and I had no problems.

Just not seeing myself as having that much cash available, quite honestly. Wondering if this is more viable. Plus, my Avant is a real creampuff, quite honestly. Would love to see her get some real guevos under the hood...that 2.7T is capable of some insane power--just ask Jared (aka "snowtrooper")

I spent a lot of money on my former B5, and while I had it in great condition I always knew I should have just bought the S4 at the beginning...
