Default S4 seats...

i currently have a 1.8t, with manual seats, if i put the s4 seats in, is there a wiring already there or do i have rerun wires and etc???

you will need to WELD new runners in... the spacing of the 1.8 runners is different

Default You have to run wires. You should have one plug under your seat,

S4 ones have three.

I also think the runner/rails are different, but I'd like someone w/firsthand knowledge to verify this.

Let me know how you make out because I NEED to have the S4 seats w/the silver lining, and I would like to know if this is a reasonable job to fabricate/install.(under 5 hours labor/each one)

Default I recently S4 seat installation in my 1.8T. Fairly involved welding and some modest electric....

1.8=single center mount while 2.8/S4=two side mounts. The side runners are same.

Default y'welcome...Not a DIY job. You need a very competent Audi/VW/Porsche guru who will be familiar...

...with the wiring of our cars. They also need to have welding/fabrication skills....

Where are you located?

Default now last ques.(for now) Whats a fair price for s4 seats??? a guy in my neighborhood is selling his &

theyre very crisp almost even brandnew, theyre out of '01, what do you feel is a fair price???

I've seen prices go for $750 to $1200 for a pair... airbags intact
