Default Yes it is. It is very easy to point a finger and state the obvious . .that the driver was acting

irresponsibly and foolishly. Youth is often smitten with the notion that they are invincible ... It only happens to someone else, etc.
As a parent (and a survivor of at least equal foolishness) I can think of little worse than receiving a phone call that informed me one of my children paid for their foolish act with their life.

Default Yep, a guy I played football with died driving

like an idiot, sad to say, but he was driving like a moron.

Default yeah. jimmy always drove too fast and never wore a seatbelt

it was awful. he was thrown from his car and hit a tree head on. his girlfriend walked away without a scratch

Default yea, I hear ya, it was hard...

the other guy in the car was an all american basketball player, he's now a vegetable, can't even shoot anymore. :-(

Default Yes, I feel terrible for the parents...

My wife and I do not have kids, but I do have a niece that I love dearly. I can only image that there could be no worse pain than to have to bury your own child.

Default I totally agree

I just had a similar incident happen to a really good friend two months ago. He was the passenger and another friend was the driver, they weren't driving like idiots, just driving home. When your a kid you don't expect these things to happen to you until it actually happens to you or someone close to you, then you start to realize that you are not invincible. The saddest part is it fades...some of my friends are starting to drive like idiots again.
