Safety issues running no hubcentric rings....
i just bought a set of wheels for my sisters car and they didnt come with hubcentric rings. I am going to order some ASAP but in the meantime is it safe to drive with no hubrings, obviously no freeway driving but for around town and stuff?

we've put 10K miles on my wife's car without hubcentric spacers
Don't get me wrong though, if I drove it with the spacers and felt like it was safer/smoother, I'd be an advocate for hucentric rings. However, the only unpleasant effects from these new rims+tires is the tramlining, which I believe comes from the STIFF sidewall rather than a lack of hubcentricity.
I have read the informative page on the Ronal site, but nothing else.
Feel free to guide me into the common belief on the benefits of hubcentricity, I'mm very open to it, I just haven't had ANY trouble running these rims without spacers (again, for 10,000 miles).

frankly i do not understand what the heck theyre for since most of these rings are lowgrade, soft
plastic. even the ones coming from tirerack. 100% of the weight goes to the studs/bolts anyway. i've been drifting and racing my other car without these rings and we're doing fine

Ok heres a whacky suggestion.. just buy wheels that fit!!!!!!
there are hundreds of wheels that fit. why **** about with ones that don't?
Hubcentric rings aren't needed if the wheel is meant for the car.

I don't recommend it, but I have been driving without them for about 10K miles and I've had no
problems yet. Just gotta be very carefulw when mounting the wheels to make sure the holes line up.
I need to get some rings though, just for peace of mind, the shop I'm using is having trouble getting the rings from Axis.
