Salt Lake City, UT Service Question NEED INPUT!
I just moved back here to SLC, UT from Chicago, where I purchased a 00' A4. In Chicago I could get service done in an hour and it was an in and out type of thing. Now here in SLC I call Dave Strongs and they tell me it will take all day long to service my can and that they do not have any type of loaner car. Is this the best that service comes in SLC? This is kind of ridiculous compared to Chicago. Please give me any input you have. I cannot be without my car for an entire day.
Thanks in advance

If it is warranty work, you are stuck with Strongs unless you want to go to Ken Garff's in Provo (Bought my S4 there) or Cutrubis in Layton. (Don't even think about going there.) The best service for out of warranty work is Alpine Foreign Repair on 900 S. and 341 E. Phone is 355-6459. Joe & Wendell do awesome work and are very fair on price. I used to take both of my '87 4000 CSQ, and my '95 90 there. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Send me an e-mail if you need more info. Best of luck and welcome to Utah!

What's wrong with Cutrubus?
Does Cutrubus have a reputation that I don't know about..been taking my car there for a year. At Cutrubus I make an appt.. come in and wait about an hour in the waiting room and drive off to work. So not really much wait at all. They will give you a loaner if it's an overnight repair and they don't have the parts. So might have to do with the workload..I know that Strong has a very devoted customer base and is probably swamped.

Re: What's wrong with Cutrubus?
A friend of mine had a few bad experiences there a few years ago when they were new. Could have been a bad manager/staff member that pissed my friend off. Sounds like they have changed for the better and are doing a good job. It is good to hear that you are liking their service. I'll retract my statement.
