Spotted a car with headlights projecting wild tints in my rearview mirror tonight, turned out to be a 99.5 A4. At first I thought it was probably a Japanese car with tacky aftermarket blue/purple headlights, then they looked a bit like the accessory foglights on Golfs and Jettas, then sort of a xenonish white, at other times like regular halogen headlights. Unlike any other stock headlights I've ever seen.

Do the 99.5 models have the old style headlight washer covers or are the washer covers flush with the bumper. I had heard that the European ones were flush but the Americans received the old style bubble kind. Just wondering?

they're still the bubble type, maybe in 2000

I saw a new A6 being test-driven last night. Does A6 have same type of headlights as A4? MUCH easier on eyes when coming up from behind!
