This is one ugly *****. Aside from the overall hideousness of it there was a distinct econobox aura to it. This is one of the few cars that actually looks better in photographs. I can't believe any A4 owners would defect (descend) to a WRX.

it is a Subaru...and its engineering is consistant with Subaru quality...it is VERY fun to drive! The handling is great, and there is plenty of power...as far as driving, it is a great car.
He doesn't like the "bug-eye" headlight look, and he said that the interior left some to be desired...its not that comfortable, and has a rather cheap appearance.
So....again, it is a Subaru. If you want a track car, or a great driving car and don't want comfort or good looks, go for it.
But no, I don't think an Audi owner could step down to a WRX.

my brother got a rally blue WRX. He let me drive it, and I just gotta say that is one of the most fun cars to drive. I love just about every part of that car.

...all I can say is yes, the interior is cheap but people who buy this car are more into the performance and not the looks nor luxury comfort...it is the best bang for the buck and would whoop **** just about with any 4 and even 6 cyl. out there...straight line is questionable but twists..you can say good night! Me, I'm looking into the 2002 Avant, yes it's more that the Rex and underpowered but comfort and lumbar is a concern to me, and I don't want my future baby feeling every bump on the road...but if I can have 227hp with comfort, I'd be all over the Rex...but not the yellow..which even Subaru owners like myself can't stand. What was Subaru thinking???
Another thing, you guys make it sound "degrading" to "descend" to a WRX. If people don't mind giving up certain things in a car for performance, so be it. I would if I was 21 yrs. old...does that make me less of a person???

forget classic styling, that doesn't sell anymore. Mostly, it's either the Batman look (Focus, Cougar) or the Pokemon look (Celica, WRX, Nissan hardbody).
