Default Say it's not true - GIAC claims no K04 file for 4B0 906 018 Q ECU!!!

So since I don't have a MBC, I have to drive home in stock mode. Their fear is that if I'm running the K03 chipped file the boost will spike and hit throttle cut and run lean.

Only solution is to get a MBC and run the chipped K03 file.

Aaaarghh!!!! Anyone have a solution for me??!!

Default So you didnt check into this before you bought the turbo?

Seems like a bad idea to me.

So you think I can get a chipped 018P ECU and run it in my Q car?

Default My K03 was on it's way out and with all the talk of K05 files for the ATW, no I assumed :(

So I'm only out a 5 bar FPR which the tuner is going to buy from me for what I paid for it.

The K03 that came off the car had multiple cracks - one that started near on the interior near the exhaust turbine and went through the housing. So that was the whistling noise I've been hearing for 30k mi ...

I was getting negative deviations with the K03 chip and had to use Lemmi to turn down the boost to 90% so at least it was all for naught. But I prolly could have picked up a used K03 Sport for less than I paid for the K04 ($725 new).
