Scott Holman...a warped dash update for you...
I called the Audi service manager at 3 Rivers Audi and explained the problem to him.
In classic service manager fashion, he replied "I've never seen that happen before." Heh, heh. Like I didn't expect that one.
Anyway, he told me that for them to replace the dash would run around $600 dollars (ouch), but I might have better luck calling an upholstery shop and seeing what they could do. He told me that they might be able to heat up the dash and reglue it. Seems like it might be a little too tight agains the window in my case for them to fix it that way. I'm not too optimistic, but it might be worth a try anyway.
The service manager did recommend that I try giving Audi a call, though. We both agreed that despite the fact that the car is 5 years old, stuff like this just shouldn't happen and it is uncharacteristic of the kind of quality product Audi produces. Geo? Maybe. Audi? Shouldn't be.
I think a phone call to someone at AoA will be my first route. But maybe there's strength in numbers. If I can get a name and number, maybe you can call them too.
I'll let you know what I find out. But if anybody is reading this and they have an "in" or a name to call at AoA, I'd greatly appreciate it if they could pass the name on to me. I don't want to have to call a dozen people to get to the right one.

I once read here that the cheapest way to get the warped dash fixed is to remove the windshield. Haven't investigated that option myself yet. My windshield is pretty badly pitted, so I may go that route when I decide that I can't live with the warped dash anymore. The windshield seems to hold it down, so it doesn't really bother me too much.

PS. If you get anywhere with AoA, I'd appreciate an update. Or if you think my calling would help force the issue, let me know.

I'm not sure who it is, but I think I've seen it, too. It has 18" Mille Evos, Euro headlights...
and some custom interior work among other things. The outside looks pretty nice, but honestly the interior looks really ghetto.
I've seen it a couple of times in Robinson. I'm pretty sure we're both seeing the same one, because we both know that Pittsburgh isn't exactly the Mecca for modded Audis.
Hmmmm...makes me think that the Pittsburgh crew should hook up one of these days. Sure, we don't have KK...but we have Primanti's, Quaker Steak & Lube, and a bunch of other fun, Pittsburgh-specific places to hook up. And lets do it soon while the weather is still nice!

Re: I'd go when I'm there during school (CMU), but I won't have my car.
You go to CMU? So do I! I was supposed to graduate last spring but I'll be back to Pittsburgh in a week and then finishing up the rest of my classes there for the fall semester.
