Default Sea Foam/Water decarbonization question....

I want to clean up the engine using either seafoam or water sucked through a vacuum hose in the usual manner.

I usually do this in conjunction with a seafoam oil treatment and then change the oil. Since I am putting nothing into the crankcase, do i stiil need to change the oil (I just changed it 450 miles ago).

Basically, I am worried about some of the product getting blown by the rings and winding up in the crankcase.

Default just did it this a few weeks ago, so far my oil still looks clean but I have no idea what's floating

around. I have check for any evidence of anything on the dip stick and haven't found anything abnormal. Oh btw, new dipstick and tube for $26 from the dealer!!! Crappy orange plastic breaks if you look at it wrong

Default I know you can use water and all but I wouldn't risk it on my shiz!! Plus water/carbon don't mix

too well... Seafoam on the other hand does...

You do not need to change the oil after decarbonizing with seafoam, 99% of it burns up and out.....

Default break up the carbon deposits in the combustion chamber. think of steam cleaning.

same thing seafoam does, except w/o the solvents.
