Default My take on this....

I know "HOW" it works but I am just basically saying that it won't work as well as seafoam... Water will not penetrate the carbon as well as the seafoam will because water and carbon are not as immiscible as seafoam and carbon... Not to mention the fact that if water gets trapped in places, it can cause rust/corrosion or other harmuful effects on the car.

Bzzt. Water does not disslove the carbon, just makes it release from the metal.
