Car- 99.5 A4 2.8QMS, 20,500 miles on odo.
Just noticed this around a month ago. Only occurs in first gear and then most noticeable when applying throttle, even just a bit.
I've made an appointment to have this possible issue, as well as a known issue, looked at but wanted to see if anyone had something similar going on with their car.

if it sounds like metal on metal, its "normal" according to audi. mine does it too. i took a stethoscope and found that my noise was coming from the transmission. i had a dealer check it out just to cover my bases. they didn't charge me anything but said it was fine.
