Default Seats...what do you think?

These Sparco seats look liveable for the street and occasional track use and they seem reasonable...these are $799 per side in Black Alcantara which should match Onyx reasonably well. That price doesn't include the mounts which are probably like another $80 per side. I think I'll miss the side airbag...but the harness holes and the added support would be rather welcome additions to the car.

BTW - I wonder how the heck you're supposed to get your harnesses in there...I have the Schroth Rallye 4's and the shoulders can't come apart...so it looks like you couldn't use those belts with this seat :-( I think you need the rallye belts with the harness bar straps or the rallye cross...but the bummer there is you lose the rear seat for good cause you can't lay the belts down then, hrmmmm.

Regards,

James R.

Default IMHO the interior looks quite a bit worse with sport seats...

...I was gonna say "ruins the interior" but that's too harsh -- it doesn't look *completely* bad and they are quite functional in many situations, so I can't say they're not worth it, but there's something about the way that interior looks with all OEM parts that just really does it for me.

Default If you like these check out the Cobra Opus...

It's new, and is suppoed to be better. I found it more comfortable, though alcantara is more expensive on this model.

Might check the Monacos. They had a good write up.

Default How much for...

OEM sport seats with *** warmers? I want the additional support but want to keep the warmers and OEM look. Can I get them from the dealer?

Default Hmm those are pretty nice too...wonder how they'd hold up agains the Sparco

in terms of quality of the materials and fabric? I'm still concerned that the seat has to be of good quality for crash protection. I guess in all honesty you shouldn't change the seats at all if you car about that sort of thing :-(
