Default Second gear shifting problems...

I've read posts in the past about the problem with shifting into second gear.

As the weather here in NC is getting colder, this problem is getting more noticeable. It only really bothers me when shifting from 3rd to 2nd gear.

Has anyone done anything to solve the problem so far?

Thanks.

rev matching takes care of the problem, unless the car is cold...then u have to wait until its warm

Default Problem goes away pretty quickly for me...

Only when it's cold do I get a bit of trouble shifting into second (likely the transmission fluid is a bit cool and not flowing that well yet..)

After a few minutes, it warms up and everything is fine and dandy.

Default I find letting the car idle for sometime...

like for a couple of mins, helps the shifting.

Default Yep, rev matching is the answer.

But on upshifts, you don't have to think about it as much. As the engine rpm's decline and before you put it into gear, you'll notice a point where the transmission "likes" to go into gear. It still might feel sticky, but it'll be better. The stickiness is caused by a cold transmission and fussy syncros.

it's much better for your engine to drive away immediately. Cold Idling is bad...

Default Someone suggested synthetic tranny fluid on a previous post...

but I haven't tried it yet. I have a hell of a time getting into first when its cold.
