Default The Bentley gives a range of .7 - .9 mm

so I'm still just under .7 so I guess the dealer just put then on without checking.
Hardly any wear for 25K miles though.

Default I read your other post about it definitely being mm. Typically the gap increases over the life of a

plug .. hence my speculating it was inches and had widened.

Default I'll set the gap mid range, put in the new filter and see what happens

I'll post a follow-up.

Default Do one at a time...

This way you'll know what the issue was, so if it happens again, you're not left wondering which part needs attention.

Default Good point...

Since the butt end is already jacked up,
fuel filter it is.

Default Since you are a q and it is more likely that a fuel filter would give you a WOT issue .. I'd start

with the far easier plugs. Changing the fuel filter (even using the Mike ZStaley method) is a pita ...

Default Plugs it is then.

I can't find the sealing washers for the filter. I thought I bought extras as there were none included with the filter.
I have Staley's post, great pix, sure makes the job look easy.

Default Check your vacuum hose to the Fuel Pressure Regulator...

if it's leaking, it could cause a rich condition under idle/part throttle and a lean condition under WOT.

If you have access to a VAG-COM, check the Fuel trims, block 032, and make sure it's not running too rich.
