Default It sounds like your car is rolling on monster truck tires. There's a constant loud sound coming...

from the bad bearing any time the car is in motion.

One thing I noticed when my front right bearing went bad: the noise went away when I made a left turn (I think) since that bearing was under load.

Hope this helps.

Default Not monster truck loud....

The sound isn't that bad.. Almost like there is an intermittant throbbing sensation... and it feels like there is a grinding when I go in to lowspeed turns.. I was considering replacing the bearings, CV joints and half shaft just for good measure with the milage that I'm accruing... I still need to put the car up in jack stands and wiggle the wheel around to check for play.
Thanks for the input!

I'm sure that there are different symptoms. Ours may have worn out differently.

Default Ginding stone.................

When I turn it sounds and feels a bit like a grinding stone at work...made me think maybe there could be a problem with the Torsen..??? But now I've notice a bit of a clunk over small bumps.

Default Be aware that your tire can develop certain wear patterns that will make 'em sound very similar to a

bearing.

Default yeah, i could see how you would compare it to that...

increased vibration, with a low pitched, rhythmic hum.
