Default Semi-track pads: Redstuff or Hawk HP+

looking for a separate set of pads for occasional track days. Since I plan on swapping them at home before the event and driving to the track, don't want pure race pads. any comments on the above compounds?? my daily pads are Hawk HPS, btw.

TIA

Default haven't run either of those, but I'm really happy with the carbotech bobcat compound. Low dust,

some noise as most aggressive pads are.

Default Carbotech P+

It's noisy and dusty on the street, but not at all harsh on the rotors when cold. It's a great track pad, slightly more aggressive than the HP+, and considerably better than the Redstuff (i'd avoid those entirely).

I've run the P+ on the street for a few months, and while they're dusty and noisy as heck, they bite fantastic on the street, and don't cause any unusually high rotor wear.

Default interesting. how about advisability of only switching front pads only for track duty??

instead of installing a full set? reasoning is partly for cost, but mostly for time/convenience.

Default That's fine..

Carbotech Bobcat in the rear, or Hawk HPS, or Pagid Blue or something reasonbly grippy in the rear should work fine for the street and track. If you're running a BBK however, you might want to reconsider, as you'll then be a bit too forward biased in braking. Would be nicer to have a bit more bite out back.

Default How so Mark? Not enough bite? Or requires more temp than street driving provides? I have not had

any issues driving on them for street use or track per the driver at the 1.8t challenge and no issues autox'ing.
