Default Serious Question. What is your opinion on Quattro VS FWD for the 98.5 1.8TM W/Sports Package...?

Handling wise...?

I know that Quattro is much better in wet weather and icy conditions but what are your thoughts?

Default Honest opinion...

Quattro is what Audi is all about.

If I was considering non AWD, I think that 3 series BMW would be a much better choice over A4 FWD model.

Have you driven both cars? How about handling wise?

Default Its also better in dry conditions...

I cant stand the way FWD cars handle...with quattro you can get some oversteer when you punch it, NICE!

Default Drive them both, and go with what you prefer...it IS your money

For my money it's not even close. I personally don't care for the characteristics of most FWD cars. On the other hand, Quattro is extremely controlable...roll on the gas in a corner and the car just sticks.

The A4 with Quattro is one of the most forgiving cars on the market today.

Default if I'm not mistaken, Quattro has independent rear suspension....

which would offer more accurate rear-end stability, not to mention Quattro traction.

my $0.02 8-)

Audi On!

Default Definately go for Quattro, you would regret if you get FWD...

with the Quattro, you can go into corners much faster when some a**holes are after you, ditch them! They could never keep up with a Quattro, the unfair advantage. =) hehe

Default No, Audi is more than about Quattro

Btwy, a 325/sport is more expensive than a FWD A4/sport. Pricewise, the choice would be between A4/Quattro and 325, and I personally would pick the 325 in that case.
