Service options in Atlanta
Any A4 owners in Atlanta? If so please advise as to which mechanics are trustworthy and honest. I just got my A4 and I want to know where to take it for service & repair. I've heard horror stories about Jim Ellis so I'd like to aviod them. Any advice would be appreciated! Thx.

Welcome...
there are a few dealers in Atlanta.
Jim Ellis (2 locations)
Audi of north Atlanta (now called Nally Audi)in Roswell.
Many have had great luck and swear by both. I use Nally. They have been very good, 2-3 service reps, they get to know you.
Check out my web site (click on my sig) under Atlanta info to see other Audi owners and things going on.
I'm sure some of the others can give their experiences with Jim Ellis

Re: Service options in Atlanta
I work in Marietta so Jim Ellis out here would be best. BUT this is the dealership I have heard horror stories about. I think I may try Nalley instead, even though it's out of the way. Thanks to both of you!

I have been very pleased w/ Jim E. off Pch Ind., but also try Autobahn Performance.
They are on Buford Hwy just south of Jimmy Carter. Ask for John (Cassara). They have done all my suspension upgrade work, and replaced the steering rack on my '96.
Lee Wertz, the service manager, at Jim Ellis is very reputable though.

http://autobahn-performance.com/</a

More info on Nally...
The Audi Of North Atlanta dealership was recently bought out by Nally. The also just moved @2 months ago and are still getting adjusted. This was apparantly a good thing as before they were sharing equipment with the next door Infinity dealership (same owner).
The new Nally dealership has not touched the existing service group. I assume their main priority was to work on the sales end, then if needed adjust the service area.
The people in service are Crystal, Marvin, and Becky (I think Becky is the service manager). All 3 are super. After my first visit, they called me by name (I was back 2 other times).
If you schedule service and request it, they give you Audi loaner cars. Current appointments are about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks out. My only gripe is that they are sometimes hard to get on the phone. But when you do get them, they give you their full attention.
