shakes on idle
hey guys, I'm sure you've heard this one before. I recently bought an Audi A4 1.9 TDI, 2001 model. I cant figure it out why it shakes when is on idle, even though everything seems to be ok when I've tested it on computer.
It is working otherwise perfect, it only starts to shake if the engine is worm. My mechanic is telling me that either injectors or the cylinder heads is broken, but he cant tell for sure....
Any help much appreciated, thanks

hey, I'm actually living in Dublin, Ireland. Recently I realised it takes a lot of coolant, maybe the thermostat isn't working and that could make the engine and car shake...I brought it to a good mechanic today so I'm waiting on a diagnostic

Thanks Stig, mileage is around 130k...motor mounts were one of the guesses, anyway. Hope to find out the end of this week what can I do about it

I haven't experienced this problem with my audi, but motor mounts were usually the cause of excess shaking on my other vehicles. Good luck in your search! Please keep us updated!
