Default shaved lower door moldings....

I removed the lower moldings on the car so those little nubs could be shaved, and then repainted. Well i now see that right under the door is the rubber end exposed from the door sills. Is this normal? What do other peoples cars look like with the moldings shaved off? I am having ABT side skirts installed and it would look cleaner with it removed, until i noticed the rubber exposed a tiny bit. ???

thanks, chris

Default To eliminate this you can get the S4 door sills

The rubber on them is much shorter, so that it doesn't show on the S4 Side Skirts

Default You have to remove the door sills first and foremost..

Default can you please further explain...im a little slow...

i completely take off the sills which have the aluminum "s4" imprinted on them? mine is a 2000 and i have that, i didnt add it. so i just take this completely out, what protects the sill then, i see how the skirts are cut to go completely deeper in the sill than the stock ones which just have a little edge, but wont the sill plate still go over it? i dont completely undetand...

Default if you want to shave the lower tabs you need to completely repaint your doors

you might as well shave off the middle molding as well. i plan on doing this whenever i win the lotto but for now trim guard does the job.

my shop wouldn't paint the thing, so it's that black strip that you see.
