The Neuspeed shortens the top of the shifter lever as well as lengthens the bottom a little.
The UUC retains stock height and it just lengthens the bottom.
I have the Neuspeed and have never been in a car that has a UUC, but I don't care because I'm not interested if it keeps the stock height. I wanted a lower **** and that's what I got. Feels good and slightly knotchy, but not to an annoying point. Just good enough that you are certain your in gear. Shorter throws too.
Stratmosphere is comingo out with a short shifter too. It is said to use bearings and lengthen the bottom. I also have heard that it is a little shorter on top, so I'm guessing it will feel less knotchy and still get a pretty short throw. But like I said, I wanted a lower ****.
I guess it all boils down to personal preference. But If you do decide to go with the UUC, you might want to stick out for the stratmosphere shifter because I have heard that with the UUC shifter the ball doesn't fit very tight and there is a slight amount of play....but they could have fixed it since last I heard.
Good luck with your decision.

ie - a nice feeling of pushing through a gate of resistance. Where are you - I'm sure someone near you will let you row their shifter.
