I'm currently running Toyo Proxes 4 in 235/40 size with no rubbing issues. But, the Toyos are known to run narrower than other tires. I don't want to roll my fenders either. Since my CH's are 8.5" wide, I'm thinking of going with 235's again for some added rim protection. But I'm worried that the Goodyears may rub.

It's lowered with Bilsteins and H&R Sports
I believe the drop on the front was about 1.25" and the rear was 1".
The 225's are listed within the recommended rim width range albeit on the upper end.

H&R sports don't ride so low up front, I like my 235's on my 8" wide wheels
my car looks a bit lower than yours. I haven't autocrossed in a while, but I don't think it was rubbing then. Normal driving it doesn't rub. Than again, we are talking apples to organges with your wheels vs mine.
