Default Should I install 3M bra on the headlights?

I'm just wondering if it would be a good idea to put the 3M clear bra on the headlights as well.
I've heard that they might crack over time.Has anyone had their headlights done? Is so,any problems are the headlights dimmer due to the extra film on the lens? I'm getting the hood and bumper done on thursday.

Thanks for your feedback

Default Yes...what kind of headlights do you have...glass or polycarb?

I have the polycarb lenses, and I've found that they have taken on a sandblasted appearance (like the windshield) after 50K road miles. Application of the 3M film would have prevented this. The downside is that the film will appear cloudy until the glue dries completely. I have seen a friend's car where the glue still has not dried over the winter months, and there are cloudy patches on the headlights (this will affect vision). Anyway, once the glue dries clear, there should be no ill effects on vision.

Default I installed it on both the oem and my e-codes, kit was $45, included fogs also. It's cheap

insurance. It's really hard to tell they are on the car! No dimming effect noticed and I've lined up with other A4s to check headlight aiming against a wall @ 25' and can't see any difference with the lights that don't have the protective covering. I used the X-pel kit both times. www.xpel.com and have no complains! There also is a warranty against yellowing, etc., plus paying upto $1000 towards one's insurance deductible if a headlight gets broke or cracked from road debri w/ the X-pel kit!!! Naturally alot of fine print in warranty. Check they out!!!

http://www.xpel.com</a
