Default funny question, considering your sig statement :) dunno, i'm pondering where to pop the ? as well

but, in my audi never crossed my mind.. I think my girl take it as an insult. I'm sure that some of you have heard the "you love your cars more than me" statement before.

family, friends, work, hobbies, and religon issues. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Default Why don't you

Go somewhere romantic, for Christ's sake! It'll be worth it, in the long run.

Default With a sig quote like that, you want to get married???

Well hell, I guess if you drive a car (it has tires) you are willing to accept the problems for all the good times it gives you.
So I guess the same could be said for the the woman.

I do like the sig quote though! :-)

PS In response to your question, I know you said that you're not into that mushy crap and all that. But do something that you know SHE will enjoy. It sets the stage for what she can expect from you later in life.
If you are not willing to go out of your way to propose to her -- the moment which is suppsoed to be the most romantic in a relationship -- just imagine what message that sends to her! Do you think she'll want to spend the rest of your life with someone so uncaring and unromantic?
(That's not supposed to be an insult to you -- I am just playing devil's advocate here, presenting what she could possibly think, which would affect her answer.)

Best of luck to you!

Default My wife loves to tell the story....

Goes like this:

I told her I had a surprise but didn't want her to know where we were going since it might give it away. So I blindfolded her for the car ride. One of her favorite parts to tell is that the blindfold was two of my tube socks (clean of course) tied together then tied around her head. Now I had a problem of my wifes keen sense of direction. I had to drive around for an hour to finally get her lost. Had to do tricks like drive slow on the highway to confuse her. Oh, by the way, this was a little after sunset. So we ended up at the destination, which was a nice waterfall in the area. We went onto the bridge above the waterfall and I proposed on one knee. I even brought a flashlight to shine on the ring so she could see what it looked like.. (lol). One cool thing that happened that I didn't plan is that a news van was out there and they were doing some story about the waterfall, so they had it all lit up with spotlights.. Looked cool. So not more comedy than romance, but it's a fun story for her to tell friends. (tube socks is her favorite part).

Anyway, don't do it in the car. Do it somewhere that will be around for a lot longer than a car, so you can go back on some anniversaries, etc.

Default Imagine if you had gotten pulled over...

... for driving too slow on the highway, and the cops saw a blindfolded woman in the passenger's seat?
Now THAT would have been funny!

Beautiful story. Jeez, all you guys are really making me long for a girlfriend who's a "keeper."
