Default Re: My 2.8q (PES)

The mass air should cost me nothing, as I said before, AoA should cover it. I can tell you that our over the counter price is nearly $1/2g.

The PES is a very good system, it retains the around town driveability of the unmodified car and delivers awesome and very smooth power. Everyone that rides in the car comments on the smooth power. 0-60? I've dusted everyone I've ever tried. I have the manual, I would pay extra to not have to drive an automatic - though the tip is the best I've tried to date. I installed the system.

yes. I've used it before (not on A4, on older Porsche) and was happy with results.

Actually, I was asking which product I should use. Those are two different 3M products.

Default Well, what happened is.....

when I got the car, there were already swirl marks all over teh hood. Apparently, someone at the dealership was REALLY bad with an electric buffer and put those marks all over my hood. Then a couple months ago, I was driving on the freeway when a huge truck in front of me had some leaky container adn white paint got splattered in little droplets onto my hood. Meguiars paint cleaner got it out, but left some more swirl marks. I just want to get those swirls out now. IT's really bugging me.

Default I just used the 3M Swirl Mark Remover for Dark Colors

I used it with a Porter Cable DA polisher with foam pads from Meguiars. I am happy with the results. Last time I used circular motions for removing wax and got circular swirls. The 3M product got out the circular swirls but I once again added more with the toweling getting the polish and wax off. They are minor and I used linear motions so it's not too bad. I found that 3M polishes are much easier to remove then Meguiars. I have to park under trees so that may have something to do with it. I havn't used the Finesse product and havn't used either by hand so I can't comment on that.
