Should I use any silicon protectent on my new dash?......
I hate that shinny look and if I use it on my dash then I have to use it on the door panels, console, etc... I have been using Swifters to pick up the dust and they have been working great.
Are the days of using Armoral on your inside gone?

No!
Silicone cleaners are actually harmful to vinyl and rubber.
The swifters are fine. If you need to clean the interior, you can use vinylex (although that also leaves a shine), or you can use diluted Simple Green to remove dirt, etc.
I use the pledge grab-it's. I can't stand that glossy greasy look either.
