Default Should my radiator fan stay on when temp levels are fairly high??

It never does and ocasiolly it allows for the coolant to overheat way above normal temps after i shut it down.

any ideas about this??

Default temps shouldn't get high enough that the fan needs to stay on when you shut down the car.

Address the high coolant temps first.

Default The above normal coolant temps after shut down is from heat soak.

Since coolant is no longer flowing and disipating heat through the radiator it "soaks" up the heat from the engine. This is normal when outside temperatures start to get warmer.
