Ant 12v

Since I have BOSE I have to upgrade the entire system. This means a new deck, amps, wires, speakers, tweeters, and subs. I am looking to get something nice but not too expensive. I want to stay away from a system that is all bass and try to instead look for a system with an overall quality sound.

I am just wondering what components everyone here has and your impressions on the system.

really great high quality sound. If you want to skimp on price anywhere, you can probably do it on the speakers. The BAs sound terrific but are really really expensive.

The Polk Audio speakers are the best bang for your buck. There are better speakers out there, but not for less than $500 a pair. The Polks run around $150 a pair.

Don't get a Fosgate amp. Ever. I hate it so much.

The Xtant amp, on the other hand, is one of the nicest sub-$1000 amps I've heard.

The JL Sub is incredible. Either the W6 or the W3, 10 or 12"

Rockford Fosgate Tweets (fanatic Q's)for highs. I got some Boston Acoustic Rally's for mids and I was totaly suprised by their bass response and clarity.

I myself do not like a bass chamber on wheels, I like to hear everything nice and clean.

The best component I own is my Pioneer Premier D900 head unit, it's pricey but it was worth every penny. I never thought I would praise something made by Pioneer, but there Premier series head units are da bomb. That coupled with the Boston Rally's makes a sweet sounding system!

Thats my opinion, check it out you will be suprised.
