Default Sigh, if only doing things right didn't cost so much

Per a previous post on Febi motor mounts, I found that mine too were made in China. Not acceptable for me.

So I'm looking at 034 and found a really nice selection of stuff I want:

Street density motor mounts: $95/ea
Billeted transmission mounts: $80/ea w/ hardware
Steel reinforced oil pan w/ serviceble bottom end: $295
Stern rear diff mount: $250
Front subframe bushings: $180

Mmmm, nice new parts.

Default True, but really for the way your car is set-up and used none of it is needed.

Not a flame post..... It is just all way overkill.

Save the cash.

I'm used to it, doesn't mean I have to like it!

My kid probably has a good dosing of lead in his system.....maybe that means he won't be affected by radiation?

Default While I agree, the factory counterparts aren't much cheaper and if I'm doing these

items for the first time or second, I want it to be the last time.

This is a car I plan on my son being able to own and drive when he's old enough.

Default LOL. I'm sure my emotional attachment will not have changed in 16 years on that car

Wow, the car will be 28 years old if it lasts... and at 442,400 miles or so.

Crazy.

Default Diff mount busted, subframe mounts worn, engine is vibrating like there is a bad mount

and the transmission mounts are super easy to do on an automatic.

Plus, the oil pan gasket is leaking, so that will need to be addressed sooner or later. And all but the rear diff and transmission mounts are connected to the repair of the oil pan. So why not do it all at once and be done with them?

I just looked at PureMS at the same motor mounts I have now and they are selling for a mere $20 less then the 034 units. Transmission mounts are very close as well. No idea what subframe bushings run from the dealer, but they can't be terribly cheap.
